A lot of words are used to describe mental health. For example, what does having a “panic attack” mean, what does feeling “anxious”, “depressed” or “stressed” mean. Continuing on from what I talked about in How to Share Your Problems Like a Giraffe, there are some reasons that I want to look into this more. One reason it can be confusing for someone experiencing difficulty to understand what they are experiencing without information and support to guide them and secondly, it can be confusing for someone to understand something that they haven’t experienced without the right information and support.
With that in mind, I have made another survey to ask you if there are any words that you have come across used in a mental health context that you don’t understand so if you have a spare minute to share your thoughts with me that would be much appreciated. Like the last one, the answers will be anonymous.
Thank you for taking the time to read this and stay tuned for the next instalment.
Until next time
Kathryn
