How to Charge Your Giraffeness

I will be using the next few instalments to talk about some of the images/reminders that help me feel more mentally healthy and more giraffe.

The first image that I find helpful is a charger. This image helps me to consider how much I can do at a certain time before I ‘run out’ and when I need to ‘re-charge’. With that comes consideration of where my best ‘charging points’ are (mine are my bed and sofa!)

This also helps me to consider when I am away from my ‘ best charging points’ and if my ‘battery’ is running low, I need to slow down to conserve my energy. However, if I have the right ‘ portable chargers’ e.g. food/drink, a good chair, a quiet room, I can have the energy to keep going a bit longer.

Finally, this image reminds that it doesn’t matter how long it takes for me to ‘re-charge’ as long as I feel refreshed afterwards.
