Many people have commented on my honesty in these blog posts and how comfortable I feel sharing as much as I do. Therefore I want to dedicate this post to telling you more about this.
One reason that I feel comfortable to share my honest feelings is that I have realised more recently that when I am honest, people are either agree with me or take the time to ask questions in order to understand instead of judging. So you can take comfort from the fact that although your experience will be unique, there can be common obstacles we face. It is something I still find hard to do sometimes because you sometimes have to put yourself out there first, not knowing what you’ll get back. And it can also be hard to sum up life in a few words in a passing conversation (this in particular is something I’m wanting to write about).
It has also been a helpful process for me to be more honest with myself about what I’m feeling and not to dance around the point. And although it can be hard to go more in depth with yourself, reflecting on past mistakes and regrets, that can be where the healing and positive progress can start. I’m sure if you have been reading these posts over the past few years, you have seen a glimpse of what this kind of thinking can look like. I hope that I have given you enough encouragement to dabble in reflecting yourself and seek help that is available.
Thank you for taking the time to read this and I hope you find it helpful. As always, feel free to get in touch with any questions/feedback/comments, I always love to hear it. Stay tuned for the next instalment.
Until next time
Kathryn
